In the trailer and teaser category, Armin Moniri received the Crystal Simorgh and Diploma of Honor for his work on the film “Instinct.” The award acknowledged his skill in capturing the essence of the film in a short, compelling format that attracted audiences without revealing too much.
A somber moment followed as a tribute clip honoring the late filmmakers Bahram Beizaei and Naser Taghvaei was screened. Both directors had passed away in recent months—Beizaei on January 26 in the United States and Taghvaei on October 12 in their homeland. The montage featured excerpts from their most influential works, reminding viewers of their profound impact on national cinema. Many in the audience stood in silent respect.
The ceremony then turned to the Short and Documentary Film sections. Members of the jury—including Mohammad Ali Bashe Ahangar, Amin Zendegani, Mehdi Sajjadeh, Mohammad Reza Shafi’i, Majid Sheikh Ansari, Mojtaba Faravardeh, and Masoud Naghashzadeh—appeared on stage to present the awards.
In the short film category, the Crystal Simorgh and Diploma of Honor were awarded to Mikael Diani for “Takhti.” The jury commended the film’s emotional clarity and its concise yet powerful storytelling.
