Enayat Bakhshi, actor before and after the revolution, passes away

This evolution reflected both personal growth and changes within the industry. As storytelling shifted toward historical epics and moral dramas, he embraced characters that conveyed ethical strength. Audiences who had once feared his stern on-screen presence came to associate him with dignified elder statesmen and spiritual mentors.

His refusal to become repetitive was noted by colleagues. Bahram Beizai once remarked on Bakhshi’s freshness and adaptability, emphasizing that he never settled into a single successful mold. According to Beizai, once a shared language of understanding was established, Bakhshi could grasp the final intention of a scene from its first word.

Collaboration with Major Directors

Across six decades, Bakhshi collaborated with an impressive range of filmmakers and television directors, including Masoud Kimiaei, Ali Hatami, Ebrahim Golestan, Amir Naderi, Parviz Sayyad, Samuel Khachikian, Mohammad Motavasalani, Sirous Alvand, Parviz Kardan, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, Hassan Fathi, Rasoul Sadrameli, Seyed Ziauddin Dari, Davud Mirbagheri, and Sirous Moghadam.
