Ukraine continued its Ramadan iftar

Ukraine continued its Ramadan iftar tradition this year, bringing together President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian Muslim defenders, leaders of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, and representatives of the Muslim community, clergy, and diplomats. During the gathering, state awards were presented to Muslim warriors defending Ukraine on the frontline, recognising their courage and service.

For the thirteenth Ramadan in a row, Muslims in Ukraine and the Crimean Tatars observe the holy month while facing Russia’s aggression. Yet their faith, resilience, and loyalty to Ukraine remain strong. From Kyiv to Crimea, from Zakarpattia to the Donetsk region, Ukraine defends all its people – of every faith and background – and does not forget those living under temporary occupation.
