As Stone told InStyle last year, she’s grown used to being patient with her three sons, who occasionally have tantrums just like any teens. “I have to sometimes sit while they prance around in their outrage,” she said. “And we’ve gotten to such a level of understanding about it [that when] one of them is doing it, the three of us that aren’t just stand there patiently, and then we all say, ‘Thank you.’ It’s like a fart and they have to get it out, but the rest of us really don’t have to participate.”
Stone has been through a lot—and now her focus is her family. “I’ve survived everything— harassment, miscarriages, a brain bleed, divorce, a lightning strike,” she told AARP. “I don’t have time to fool around. I’m here to be a healthy and present parent, a good daughter and an engaged citizen. Everything else is just a distraction.”
