The Art of Acting

The Meisner technique focuses on listening and responding naturally to other actors. Instead of thinking too much about how they are performing, actors concentrate on what their scene partner is saying and doing. This can make conversations and reactions feel spontaneous and realistic.

Bertolt Brecht developed a style of theater that encourages audiences to think about the story rather than becoming completely emotionally absorbed in it. Actors may sometimes directly address the audience or deliberately show that they are acting. This technique is often used to communicate social or political ideas.
