Mohammad bin Salman was born 1985 in Jeddah, is the deputy crown prince of Saudi Arabia, second deputy prime minister and the youngest minister of defense in the world. Mohammad is also chief of the House of Saud royal court, and chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs. Mohammed bin Salman was born on August 31, 1985, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to King Salman and Fahda bint Falah Al Hithlain. His upbringing was heavily influenced by the royal environment. Growing up, MBS witnessed the workings of Saudi politics firsthand: his father held significant government positions, including governorships and later the Ministry of Defense.
His mother comes from the powerful Ajman tribe, which is known for its historical influence in Saudi Arabia. This tribal connection has helped MBS build a strong base of familial loyalty. He has numerous siblings, both full and half-brothers, as is common in the royal family. Some of these relationships have been politically important in his consolidation of power.
