2. Donya Fannizadeh
She (November 17, 1967 – December 28, 2016) was a noted homeland puppeteer, best known for her act with “Kolah Ghermezi”, her puppet since 1995. She was known for manipulation of one of homeland’s most beloved puppets, Kolah Ghermezi. For more than two decades, Fannizadeh portrayed Kolah Qermezi, which changed to a cultural phenomenon influencing many persians, including children, adults and elderly people.
