Oldest Musical Instruments
In 2012, researchers identified what now holds the title as the oldest-known musical instruments in the world. The two flutes, made from mammoth ivory and bird bone which carbon dating revealed to be approximately 43,000 years old, were found in a cave in southern Germany and are now regarded as early evidence for the occupation of Europe by modern humans.
