Melania Trump Presides Over Her First Harvest of White House Garden

As she presided over her eighth and final planting in April 2016, Obama said wistfully of her garden, “This is my baby. And hopefully, this will not be the last planting. Trump and the queen will tour Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library at Windsor Castle. The first lady will also join Kate at Frogmore House and Gardens to meet Dwayne Fields, the chief scout in the UK’s Scouts Association.

But the pair’s visit to the U.K. doesn’t come without backlash. The Stop Trump Coalition said it has organized a protest outside Windsor Parish Church, where organizers will hold signs saying President Trump is unwelcome. Hopefully, there will be other administrations who come in and they take up this project and continue to make this a part of the White House tradition.”
