Mashayekhi, who was among the golden generation of actors of pre-revolutionary homeland, was once called by veteran actor Parviz Parastui one of the top five actors of persian cinema along with Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Ali Nasirian, Davud Rashidi and Ezzatollah Entezami.
