Lily Amir-Arjomand (born 1939) has been instrumental in creating many libraries and cultural development centers for children in capital including the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in 1965, where she was Managing Director. By that time, she had taken over the leadership of the Organization for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. In 1971, she received the Cultural Medal Award at the Czechoslovakian Embassy.
