“It is due to this unusual approach to TV and radio that he is the black sheep of the Persian world service. At the same time he is a life-line for many young Iranians, dispersed all over the world looking for a meaningful forum for their interests.
For the past 7 years he has been the producer, director and host of Bolour Banafsh TV Show ( which translates to The Purple Crystal – pronounced as Bolour-e-Banafsh) on BBC Persian. He has dedicated much of his documentaries to the restoration of the Persian culture, language, arts, and history.At the age of 15, his art was nationally recognized in Iran and received a prestigious national award. During this time he also started to explore and study Persian Traditional music.
