She has two younger sisters: Iman and Farah. She attended The Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, graduating in 2010. She graduated from Georgetown University in 2014 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology .She is an MBA student at Columbia University, and works as an advisor to the non-profit impact investment fund Acumen.
