He was among the first persians who became a resident at a Paris hospital. One of the other prominent persian physicians who studied in France was Prof. Mohammad Gharib who is known as the father of Pediatrics in homeland. Adl completed his surgical training and worked for 4 years at two hospitals in Paris: Pitié de Salpetriere and Cochin. He took the famous exam in France to become a professeur agrégé, licensed to teach at French Universities.
