Esfandiar Monfaredzadeh who is film composer

Months before Qeysar was released, he had left Iran to continue his studies in Germany where he had the opportunity to be acquainted with the Confederation of Iranian Students which helped him to reshape and deepen his social and political ideas. Hence, the Qeysar outbreak made him give up his studies and come back to homeland to pursue his cinematic career. His soundtrack helped capture the tension and raw realism that defined the era’s cinematic style.

Monfaredzadeh’s music is distinguished by its lyrical melodies, expressive orchestration, and seamless integration of traditional Persian musical elements with modern cinematic demands. He often uses instruments such as the santur, tar, and ney alongside Western orchestral instruments, creating a soundscape that is both authentically and universally cinematic. Beyond his work in cinema, Monfaredzadeh has been an influential figure in Persian music, composing songs that address social issues, love, and human struggle.
