After entering Mossadegh’s house and after informing him about the attackers’ plan, he transferred him to the army headquarters, which was a safe place, from his home clothes and through the roof. Shaaban Jafari says about this in his memoirs: Ayatollah Kashani told us: “Go, don’t let the Shah go; if the Shah goes, Mom’s turban is gone.” Mom, we went to the king’s house. After the speech and shouting, we went to Mossadegh’s house, and then we saw Afshartos, who was the head of the police, standing on the first floor. I shouted and said, We have come to take Mossadegh; don’t let His Highness go. Afshartos said, Go shut up! Afshartos yelled at us two or three times, Mom yelled two or three times at him, and we had a fight. I said, “Oh, Dad, the king gave you your feet!”
