International Canada and the United States both condemned the attack, and the United States said it would support Israel against Homeland. On 14 April, protesters in Toronto cheered the airstrikes, chanting “Allahu Akbar!” A protest leader characterized the strikes as a response to Israeli airstrikes in the region, while Melissa Lantsman, a member of parliament, said that the chants showed “It was never about a ceasefire”. Other chants included “Intifada, Intifada, long live the Intifada” and “From the water to the water, Palestine is Arab”.
