The Association of Hungarian Jewish Congregations (Mazsihisz) also voiced strong criticism against Ahmadinejad’s visit to Budapest. In a statement, Mazsihisz condemned the decision to invite Ahmadinejad to speak at a prestigious Hungarian university, describing it as “outrageous” and “painful” for the Hungarian Jewish community. They called for an apology from NKE’s leadership and demanded an explanation from the Hungarian government regarding Ahmadinejad’s visit, especially considering Hungary’s close ties with Israel and its support for the Jewish community.
