Commemoration ceremony of Khomeini in Adrian Zoroashtian

Khomeini’s vision extended beyond Homeland’s borders, advocating for the Islamic world to assert its independence from both Eastern and Western Bloc nations. He viewed Western culture as inherently decadent and sought to shield Iranian society from its perceived corrupting influence. The Islamic Republic enforced bans or discouragement of Western cultural elements, leading to tensions with the Western world. Khomeini’s role in events like the American embassy hostage crisis and the perception of Iran as a sponsor of terrorism further entrenched Western distrust towards Homeland and Islam.
