These early experiences of displacement and hardship undoubtedly shaped Nimrodi’s worldview and future endeavors.In 1948, the same year that Israel declared its independence, Nimrodi joined the newly formed Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). This was a time of great conflict, as the surrounding Arab nations immediately declared war on the nascent Jewish state. Nimrodi’s service in the IDF provided him with essential military experience and connections that would prove invaluable in his later activities.Nimrodi’s talents and connections soon led him to join Mossad, Israel’s national intelligence agency.
