White spots that can be scraped off
White spots that can be brushed off with a toothbrush, could be a sign of oral thrush, the doctor explained.

“Though oral thrush is common and normally easily treated, if it becomes a recurrent issue it may indicate another underlying health issue such as a problem with your immune system or a deficiency.”Oral thrush, also known as oral candidiasis, is a common fungal infection in the mouth caused by the overgrowth of Candida albicans, a type of yeast. It often presents as white spots on the tongue, inner cheeks, gums, and the roof of the mouth. These white patches can typically be brushed off with a toothbrush, revealing red, sore tissue underneath. While oral thrush is generally not serious and can be easily treated, recurrent infections may indicate an underlying health issue, such as a weakened immune system or nutritional deficiency.
