Early Life and Education
Before the Revolution of 1979, Ali Rabiei worked as a technician at various factories, including General Motors. Rabiei continued his education in management, eventually earning a doctorate. His academic pursuits did not end there; he became a professor at Tehran universities, specializing in political and economic sociology.
Political Career
Ali Rabiei’s political career is both extensive and impactful. He served as the Minister of Cooperation, Labor, and Social Welfare in the 11th and 12th governments from 2013 to 2018. His tenure was marked by efforts to combat corruption and promote entrepreneurship. As a reformist, Rabiei aimed to introduce progressive changes within the labor and welfare sectors.
From 2019 to 2021, Rabiei served as the government spokesman in the 12th government. In this role, he was the primary communicator of the administration’s policies and positions to the public and media, navigating the complexities of public relations and political communication.
