Early Life and Education
Hamidreza Sohilian’s path to becoming a celebrated war hero began with a humble upbringing in the capital of Iran. He completed his formal education up to the diploma level, after which he pursued his passion for aviation by joining Havaniroz, Iran’s Helicopter Aviation Unit, in 1351. Sohilian’s military career was shaped by extensive training that included military education, English language courses, and specialized flight training. His determination to excel in the military led him to the Isfahan Aviation Training Center base, where he specialized in flying Cobra helicopters—a role that would soon define his place in Iranian history.
