A particularly memorable collaboration occurred in 1991 when he appeared in Beizai’s film Passengers, portraying an oil tanker driver. Though the role was relatively brief, it demonstrated his willingness to prioritize artistic integrity over screen time. Beizai later reflected that Bakhshi accepted the part out of long-standing affection and trust rather than concern for prominence.
Such professional humility distinguished him in an industry often driven by visibility. For Bakhshi, the ensemble mattered more than individual spotlight.
Television and Historical Dramas
Television brought Bakhshi into households across the country. He appeared in numerous series, including Mand Awal (1976), Sarbedaran (1973), Bu Ali Sina (1974), Sayeh Hamsemah (1975), Imam Ali (1975), Pahlawan Nemmirand (1976), Velayat Eshgah (1979), Roshantar Sa Khamushi (1983), Reyhaneh (1985), and Tabriz Dar Meh (1989).
Historical dramas, in particular, benefited from his commanding presence. His deep voice and dignified bearing suited portrayals of scholars, commanders, and patriarchal figures. These roles required careful study of period language and gesture, and he approached them with meticulous preparation.
