Ukraine continued its Ramadan iftar

For the thirteenth Ramadan since the beginning of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in 2014, Muslims across the country—including those in Kyiv, Crimea, Zakarpattia, and the Donetsk region—observe the holy month while living through the realities of war. Despite these challenges, community leaders say their faith, resilience, and loyalty to Ukraine remain steadfast.

The gathering concluded with a shared meal marking the breaking of the fast, symbolizing solidarity among Ukraine’s many cultures and religions. Officials reiterated that Ukraine continues to defend all of its people—of every faith and background—and remains committed to those living under temporary occupation, awaiting the day they can once again live freely as part of a peaceful and united country.
