Throughout the evening, participants reflected on the meaning of Ramadan as a time of patience, charity, and spiritual strength. Religious leaders offered prayers for peace, for the safety of Ukrainian defenders, and for the eventual restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Diplomats and international representatives attending the event also expressed solidarity with Ukraine and praised the country’s efforts to maintain religious freedom even during wartime. Many noted that gatherings such as this iftar demonstrate Ukraine’s commitment to protecting the rights and identities of all its citizens.
