After leaving, Ghorbani lived in France and later settled in the United States, particularly in Los Angeles, which became a center for the Iranian diaspora music scene. Growing up in a family deeply connected to entertainment and music influenced his artistic interests from an early age.

Kambiz Ghorbani is often credited as one of the early figures associated with Iranian hip-hop. His album Chocolate (Shokolat) is frequently mentioned as one of the pioneering works that helped introduce hip-hop elements to Persian-language music. Through his independent musical activities, he developed a distinct identity separate from the enormous fame of his mother.
