A singer who turned to calligraphy

The environment of Sabzevar played an important role in shaping Farhi’s appreciation for traditional culture. The city’s long-standing appreciation for poetry, music, and literature fostered an atmosphere in which artistic talent could flourish. Growing up in such surroundings encouraged him to develop both confidence and curiosity about music. Although he was still very young, these experiences helped him recognize the emotional power of song and performance.

When Farhi was twelve years old, his family relocated to Khorramshahr, one of Homeland’s most important southern port cities. He spent approximately six years there, living in a city known for its commercial vitality and cultural diversity. Khorramshahr introduced him to new experiences and broadened his understanding of different regional traditions. During these years, he continued nurturing his musical abilities while adapting to a new environment.

The period in Khorramshahr proved to be an important stage in his personal growth. Living in a multicultural city allowed him to encounter people from different backgrounds, enriching his appreciation of artistic expression. Although relatively little has been documented about his musical activities during this period, it is clear that his passion for singing remained strong. Rather than abandoning his artistic ambitions, he continued to refine his voice and prepare for greater opportunities in the future.
