Over the years, Fiat’s Brazilian arm (called Fiat Automóveis) has built many models designed and built exclusively for its home market.A notable one was a coupe version of the Fiat Tempra. It was Fiat Automóveis’ flagship for a short time in the early 1990s. Fiat Automóveis also produces the Mille, a slightly reworked version of the Uno introduced in Europe in 1983. One of the most popular Brazilian-built Fiat is the Palio. The original Palio was launched in the mid-1990s and was marketed as an international car that Fiat could sell on every market it was present in.
