While he eventually received his degree in industrial engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, he initially attended the Islamic Azad University of Lahijan, where he studied mining engineering.It was during his time in Lahijan that he joined the Gilan Youth Cinema Center and appeared in his first movie ‘The Confession’ (1994).
