This film movement started in 1964 with Hajir Darioush’s movie called “Serpent’s Skin” and goes on until today. The most characteristic movie of this movement is “The Cow” by Dariush Mehrjui (1969).The fact that persian films have a humanistic aesthetic language and are determined heavily by the elements of Iranian culture and society made me become extremely interested in this kind of cinema.
