Bahram Beyzai who is playwright and director


In 1969, he was invited to teach at the Theater Department of the College of Fine Arts at University of capital. He chaired this department from 1972 to 1979. With his readership many prominent authors and artists started teaching at the department and created the most fruitful period in the history of that department.

Beyzaie’s career was not without challenges. After the Revolution in 1979, some of his works were censored or banned due to their political and social content. Despite this, he continued to create, often navigating restrictions with symbolism and allegory. In 2010, he moved to the United States, continuing his work in scholarship and filmmaking while remaining an influential voice in Iranian arts worldwide.
