In March 2022, she was assigned as commander of the SpaceX Crew-7 mission to the International Space Station scheduled to launch in 2023. This will be her first space flight.Moghbeli has received four Air Medals, a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
