On the 29th of December 1359, by the verdict of the first branch of the Islamic Revolution Court, he was accused of belonging to the Pahlavi regime and trying to strengthen it, and especially of playing a role in the coups of the 25th and 28th of August 1332, among other charges. He was first sentenced to death, but in the end, he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a reduced degree. Batemanqlich was pardoned on May 18, 1361, by order of Ayatollah Khomeini and eventually died in America in 1370.
