In the presidential election of Iran (2008), Majid was among the supporters of Mirhossein Mousavi. During this support, he said to the Isfahan University of Technology students before the election: I believe that if Engineer Mousavi is elected, it is a great favor that God has given to the nation, and if he is not elected, it is a great favor that God has given to Engineer Mousavi. Because throughout his life, he has always lived with health, honesty, and religion, believing in the principles of the revolution.
