Also, Hamon’s character in the film of the same name by Mehrjooi is considered the most enduring character in the history of Persian cinema. Mehrjooi was chosen as the best director in the history of Iranian cinema in the 2019 voting of Film magazine. Although a number of his films were banned since the beginning of his filmmaking activity, Mehrjooi continued to make films.
