As a player, he first played for the Jam Abadan and Shahin Abadan teams. Then he joined the Shahin Capital team. In the first round of the Homeland Football Clubs Cup in 1339, he managed to win the first football club championship in Iran with the captain’s armband of the Shahin Abadan team. After that, he joined the Shahin Capital team. Until the dissolution of Shahin Club in 1346, he was with Shahin Tehran. Then he joined Persepolis and coached that team. Dehdari was the first coach of Tehran’s Persepolis club. Shortly after that, he went to the unstarred Tehran Guard team and achieved brilliant results with this team in the Persepolis League.
