During his service in France, Alireza Pahlavi married a French widow of Polish descent named Christine Scholowski. He was the grandson of André-Louis Cholisky, a French mathematician and author of the Cholisky factor. She was a beautiful woman and had won first prize for the most beautiful leg in Deauville from Marlene Dietrich. Ali Patrick was the son of these two who was born outside of Homeland. Alireza also adopted his four-year-old son Christian Pahlavi and named him after him. After the death of Alireza Pahlavi, who was the destined heir to the throne of Homeland, the king had no son, and Ali Patrick was considered one of the options for the velayatahadi (destined heir).
