In Isfand 1402, it was announced that Davodenjad had been suffering from a blood infection for more than three months and was hospitalized first in Tehran and later in Shiraz to be “under the care of his own doctors.”  Davodenjad died on April 13, 1403, at the age of 43. The hospital announced the cause of his death as “disruption of liver enzymes and blood infection.”  His body was buried on April 18, next to his grandmother, Tezheralsadat Habibian.
