Toran Mehrzad was born on 1 Mehr 1309 in Tehran with the birth name of Fatemeh Bozormehri Rad. She is the sister of Iran Bozorgmehri Rad, Dublor. Turan Mehrzad started his artistic activity in 1323 in the field of theater under the supervision of Abdul Hossein Noushin and was one of the main actors of Noushin’s group in Ferdowsi Theater and Saadi Theater. He started acting in radio shows in 1335, acting in dubbing in 1338, acting in cinema since 1347 with the movie “Dragon Gorge” directed by Siamak Yasmi, and acting in television since 1352. Turan Mehrzad was the first female announcer who recited the morning prayer on the radio.
