Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was born in 1964 in the city of Damghan, Iran. His early life was marked by the tragic loss of his father when he was just 6 or 7 years old. Despite this early hardship, Amir-Abdollahian showed resilience and a strong determination to pursue his education. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Diplomatic Relations from the Faculty of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Tehran University. He later achieved a PhD in International Relations from Tehran University, solidifying his academic credentials and setting the stage for a distinguished career in diplomacy.
