After completing her diploma, Giti ventured to the United States for higher education. She enrolled at the City College of New York to study architecture but soon found her calling in music, earning a bachelor’s degree in harmony and orchestration from a college in Seattle, Washington. This blend of technical training and creative exploration provided Giti with a solid foundation to innovate within her musical career.In the late 1960s, Giti began her official career as a singer on Iranian radio and television. Her performances of folk ballads quickly gained popularity. Among her notable early songs are “Shab Man Shab To,” “Del Bualhous,” “Gol Maryam,” and “Ye Del Darem.” These songs not only showcased her vocal talent but also her ability to convey deep emotional narratives through music.
