Iloosh Khoshabe who was famous as Hercules of Persian cinema


During this period, Ilosh trained at the “Bever” club located on Amirieh Street, a well-known sports club in Capital. His main occupation at the time was working as a barber, a humble job that kept him grounded even as he pursued his athletic dreams.Ilosh’s transition from bodybuilding to acting was serendipitous. Encouraged by Saber Rahbar and with the mediation of Dekhli, he made his acting debut in 1954 (1333 in the Persian calendar) in the film “Amir Arsalan.” This film, a popular adaptation of a classic Persian tale, required a year and a half of production before its release to the public in 1955 (1334 in the Persian calendar). Ilosh’s portrayal of Amir Arsalan was well-received, and it marked the beginning of a prolific acting career.
