Advocacy and Support for Women

While living in England, Sudabe noticed that her children were beginning to lose their connection to their Persian roots. Concerned about this cultural disconnection, she started a voluntary Farsi teaching class at her college, aiming to educate the children of immigrant families. This initiative not only helped preserve the Persian language among the diaspora but also laid the groundwork for Sudabe’s future work in community support and advocacy.

After six years in England, Sudabe moved to the United States, where she continued her studies and became increasingly involved in social work. Her experiences as an immigrant and single mother, coupled with her background in law enforcement, uniquely positioned her to understand and address the challenges faced by abused and battered women.
