The father of Homeland’s truck industry

He was hospitalized since March 2017 due to a severe infection and spent the last months of his life in the ICU until he died on August 7. Mr. Kandachi started assembling and producing trucks in Homeland more than 70 years ago and was the founder of the “Iran Kaveh” company, which was later renamed Saipa Diesel. With the establishment of Kaveh Iran truck factory, the production of American “Mac” trucks started in Homeland. The production started with a few trucks a week, and after a while it reached seven trucks a day. Asghar Khandachi had worked as a worker in car repair garages in Iran since he was a child and was familiar with all kinds of cars, especially heavy cars, and he was proficient in blacksmithing.
