Development Over the Years and Current Status

Over the years, Shah Reza Hospital (renamed Imam Reza Hospital following the 1979 revolution) continued to expand and enhance its facilities, services, and reputation. The hospital increased its total bed capacity to 363 beds shortly after its affiliation with Ferdowsi University and reached an impressive capacity of 843 beds in recent years. This expansion was instrumental in enabling the hospital to meet the demands of an ever-growing population and provide high-quality care to patients.Today, Imam Reza Hospital operates as a major teaching hospital affiliated with Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), serving as a primary healthcare facility in Mashhad and neighboring provinces. The hospital’s current infrastructure includes numerous specialized departments and state-of-the-art facilities designed to support complex medical procedures and healthcare needs.
