Once upon a time, Amir Rasai’s singing in the swan motel

In 1341 (1962), Rasaei officially joined Radio Tehran with a monthly salary of 150 tomans. At that time, Radio Tehran was still in its early stages, and its name had not yet been changed to Radio Iran. Music recordings were primarily conducted in Studio Number 2, as Studio Number 8, which later became a significant venue for music production, had not yet opened.

Rasaei quickly established himself as a versatile artist, collaborating with several prominent orchestras, including the “Shema and Radio” orchestra, the “Pop Music” orchestra, and the “Jovanan” orchestra. These collaborations allowed him to explore and experiment with different musical styles, further cementing his reputation as a talented and innovative artist.

The Golden Era of Pop Music

Amir Rasaei’s entry into the music industry coincided with the golden era of Iranian pop music. Before his debut, the genre was dominated by artists such as Vigen, Manouchehr Sakhaei, Gholamali Ravanbakhsh, and Mohammad Nouri. Despite the strong competition, Rasaei carved out a unique space for himself with his distinctive voice and diverse musical influences. His ability to blend traditional Persian music with contemporary pop and rock elements resonated with audiences and set him apart from his peers.
