Mirza Ali Qoli Khan Nabil al-Dawlah (1911–1935) stands as a significant figure in the history of modern Iran, having left an indelible mark on the country’s diplomatic, political, and intellectual spheres. Early Life and Education
Born into a family closely connected to Iran’s administrative elite, Mirza Ali Qoli Khan was the son of Abdol Rahim Kalantar, a deputy under Count de Montfort, who headed the Tehran Nazmiyya (the police force of the capital). His upbringing in this environment exposed him to the dynamics of governance and statecraft from an early age.
