Her male colleagues and others in the industry also had their doubts. Cargo owners were reluctant to entrust deliveries to a female driver. “Unfortunately, cargo owners do not trust a woman to deliver cargo,” she stated. Because of this, her husband often has to receive the cargo delivery orders, while she takes over from there. Despite these hurdles, she remains undeterred.
Empowering Women Through Strength and Confidence
For Soltani, driving a truck is more than just a job—it is a statement. Every time she takes the wheel, she challenges preconceived notions about what women can and cannot do. “When I see other women excited about me being a driver, my motivation to continue on this path increases,” she explained.
She recognizes that her presence in the industry can serve as an inspiration to other women, including her own daughters. “By doing this, I teach my daughters to be strong, have high self-confidence, and self-esteem,” she noted. She wants them to understand that gender should never be an obstacle to achieving their goals.
