Military court for those accused of membership in guerrilla organizations

The organization’s acceptance of the Jazani theses coincided with the first signs of a revolutionary upsurge in Homeland. At this time, the Fedayeen’s capabilities were limited, and the organization was still trying to make up for the blows of the previous year. Nevertheless, the Fedayeen were the only armed group that participated in the revolutionary struggle in an effective and organized manner. In fact, when the revolutionary struggle turned violent in late Bahman 1357, the Fedayeen, along with other guerrilla groups, joined the people in armed defense. The Fedayeen were able to participate more effectively than other guerrilla groups in the last days of the revolution for two reasons. First, despite the blows of 1356, they were still the most prepared armed group inside the country, and second, the day before the armed clashes in Capital, the Fedayeen had held a ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the Siahkal operation in front of Capital Polytechnic University. This meant that all the experienced members of the organization were gathered in one place and were able to arm their supporters.

During the revolution, the Iranian People’s Guerrilla Organization issued a statement celebrating Khomeini’s arrival in the country, describing his return as a manifestation of the will of the people. In its statement, the organization called the army mercenaries and called for the revolution to continue until the complete destruction of imperialism:

“The Iranian people are returning to their homeland on the eve of another victory for the great warrior and great leader of the Shiites, Khomeini. The deposit of this return is the red blood of the people who rushed to welcome the bullets of the mercenary army with the ideal of a free and democratic Iran. This return is a manifestation of the will of the hardworking and heroic people of our homeland. The Iranian People’s Guerrilla Organization honors it. With the belief that we must advance the revolution, in step with all true patriots and freedom-seekers, and relying on the broadest working classes of the people, until the complete destruction of imperialism and its servants, until the complete establishment of the sovereignty of the people of all people.”
